Teen books? - April 2nd 2010, 12:20 AM

I need to know some good teen books that are like the books by Lurlene McDaniel. I've already read all of her books. Some of them I've read more than once. I love books about teens with different diseases and how they deal with it. I'm reading My Sister's Keeper right now. I also like books that are like The Last song and things like that. So any ideas on books I could read?

I read all of Lurlene McDaniel's books a few years ago, and I liked them.
I'm not sure about books on teens with diseases, but if you like books about teens, specifically romance, then I recommend Sarah Dessen, she's a really good teen book writer.
I just read the book "Some Girls Are" by Courtney Summers, and it was really good. I devoured it in one sitting. Maybe you'd like it
That's all I got for now. Hope I made some good recommendations.

i don't know what you like, but my personal favorite book EVER is Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. it's currently the first in what is soon to be a trilogy, AND movie rights have been bought (tho i think as a movie it would probably suck). but the book is amazing and is a definite must read.

I've never read any of those books, but here are a couple you might like (bear in mind they might be triggering on topics such as self-harm, suicide, and eating disorders):
The Pact by Jodi Picoult
Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
Aimee by Mary Beth Miller
Not sure if they're what you're looking for, but they're worth reading.

I am going to recommend Fallen by Lauren Kate for the moment.

I've just finished reading it and I can't stop thinking about it. I like that the characters are so real and relatable to despite being mythical and all.

But, I won't reveal any more than I already have

I read wintergirls, it was a good book but probably triggering if you have an ED. I thought it was written quite interestingly (sp?)

Actually, come to think of it, check out Jodi Picoult's writing in general. She has some more books like My Sister's Keeper, so you might like them.
