The Vast Fields of Ordinary - April 19th 2010, 03:10 AM

Has anyone else read this book? I just finished it and I loved it. It's about a gay guy trying to deal with his old sort-of-boyfriend, his new crush/boyfriend and his parents failing marriage in suburbia.

My only problem with it was that it made me sad that I've never felt the way Dade feels about his crush. After he meets Alex, he obsesses about him, but not in a sexy way.

"I wanted all of him. I wanted to know his name, his birthday, his favorite color, what he liked to have for breakfast, what his favorite bands were, the size and brand of his favorite jeans."

I just found it to be a really amazing and awesome book. I seriously recommend it.

I've never heard of it (so not read it either ) but it sounds pretty good. I'll have to check it out.

Nothing in the world is
the way it ought to be.
It's harsh, and cruel.

But that's why there's us - champions.
Doesn't matter where we come from,
what we've done or suffered,
or even if we make a difference.

We live as though the
world is as it should be,
to show it what it can be.
