Anyway, has anyone read this book? Did you like it? If so why? If not why? I really enjoyed this book. I think it might be close to my sisters keeper. I will admit that there were a few things that annoyed me about it but I still enjoyed it. I especially like the ending it was expected but at the same time it wasn't. I liked the message she put out with that ending too. It was just so intense. I guess that is what I like about Jodi Picoult though; she makes you think about things and what she is trying to get across. When I finished reading Handle with care I got up and thought 'what? What was the point of that ending?" And then I started thinking about it and I got it. I think there were a lot of different themes (or whatever) in the book but one that was loudest for me was you can't plan your future. You can only do what you think is right and what you think is going to make things better for you or the others in your life but in the end some things are going to happen that will take that planning or hoping or whatever and change it around. I guess I just kind of want to hear what other people thought of it. What did you think of the ending? Etc. There could never be amore beautiful you

I actually thought that the book was better than I had expected it to be. I agree with seeing similarities to My Sisters Keeper, in particular the characters being extremely similar, but they felt more personable to me and I preffered the characters in this book. The book had a good pace but I feel as though it dealt with too many different issues without developing on them properly. I am not entirely sure how I feel about the ending. I think that it was possible to guess by the way the book was written (to Willow) and some other elements of the book were quite predictible. I wasn't keen on the 'circumstances' of the ending or how it came about... it was too sudden.

I think she did try to cover too many things at once which led to her wrapping it up waay to quick. Like it wasn't satisfying.
And, when I first read the ending I thought 'hmmm, really? Why did she do that?' But then I thought about it and I think it was done that way to show how unexpectedly life can change. Charlotte does everything she can, giving up friendships, almost losing her husband, etc in order to help her child (doing what she thought was right) and in the end all of that didn't matter because something so unexpected, something that had nothing to do with the sickness ruined it all. I do agree with what you guys have to say though and it was disappointing to an extent. She builds all this up and then the ending is kind of a let down, the way she brings it all together. It is almost like she got tired of writing or something. It wasn't the greatest book ever but I finished reading it and kept thinking about it, wondering etc and I love a book that keeps me thinking even after the last page. There could never be amore beautiful you

I loved it, just as I love every other book by Jodi Picoult.
At first I didn't really understand the ending, but after thinking more it sunk in. ![]() When your feet are made of stone And you're convinced that you're all alone Look at the stars, instead of the dark You'll find your heart shines like the sun |

I've read all of Jodi Picoult's books and Handle With Care is one of my favorites by her.. I think it was more.. raw, than some of her others, with the emphasis on how Charlotte's actions effect everyone around her. That's what I loved most about it, how you could clearly see how upset, conflicted, torn etc her family (especially Willow) was.
Tbh the ending kind of aggravated me. I didn't like how she wrapped it up. And yeah, she did tackle too many issues.. kind of seemed like she didn't fully develop her ideas. But eh, I still loved it especially Willow's character.
how could anyone ever tell you, you are anything less than beautiful?| PM Me self-harm free since 06.10.11. |

I didn't like it very much, it definitely wasn't as good as My Sister's Keeper. I was kind of bored, and I absolutely hated the end.
