Epilogues -

Does anyone else hate write your own endings? I just finished Beyond the Shadows, which is part three of a trilogy, and the epilogue was a let down to me. I mean it's good to know Kylar's kid survived, but that's pretty much all they tell you. I wrote a pretty decent ending in my head, but I like it when the author just tells you what happened.

i hate that too!
It's like you expect the author to basically close up the series in the epilogue no unanswered questions or anything like that. I just want to scream at the book and say "why don't you have a proper ending!!"

Yes, I hate that. I used to read the Goosebumps series when I was younger, and I hated the range that made you make up your own endings!! I'm lazy and don't like to be forced to use my own imagination for another writer's story.
