I think everyone should read... - June 28th 2011, 09:19 AM

The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky. I swear, that is one of the greatest books I have ever read!

On The Road by Jack Kerouac. It's amazing.

The Hunger Games. Best. Book. Ever.
Oh, and I read the perks of being a wallflower. It was pretty good.

I'm almost finished with it. I don't understand the hype about it... It's okay, just not AMAZING like everyone says it is. It's seemed like, throughout the entire book, it's trying to be like The Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger, whish is my favourite book...

Gimme sympathy,

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is on my to-read list but haven't got round to it yet

I think everyone should read Harry Potter, particularly if they've seen the movies too, because the books are just so much better.

I love love loved The Perks of Being a Wallflower!!

I'd recommend reading "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman. It's mostly fiction/fantasy, even though it's typically under Sci-Fi. I loved it.

All mimsy were the borogoves,

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time - Mark Haddon
Great Apes - Will Self (probably 16+, lots of sex/drugs, not in a porn way though)
The Memory Keeper's Daughter - Kim Edwards (heartbreaking, but a great read)

The Real Question--Adrian Fogelin. It's really amazing.

"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it.
I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote,
“Dear Jim: I loved your card.”
Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.”
That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything.
He saw it, he loved it, he ate it."

The Hunger Games. Best book I've ever read, but was too afraid to read the next one. Even looking at the book makes me feel a bit creeped out. Agreed that it's the best book ever though.
