This one sociopath in my algebra class - May 22nd 2018, 10:36 PM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of peer pressure or bullying, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I've been sitting across from this one annoying-ass little boy in my Algebra class all year, and there have been many times where he's been an absolute pain in the ass. He's made a number of absolutely cruel jokes about me buttraping my parents and actually been physically violent on many occasions. How my Algebra teacher doesn't seem to see any of this really surprises me.

Today was the last straw. We were working on an absolutely pointless extra credit project when he leaned over and purposefully cut my hand with a pair of scissors. I went to an assistant principal during lunch and he sent me to the nurse to make sure it wasn't a serious thing and said to come down to his office during 6th period for further action. I did as he told me to but he never showed up to his office. I left thinking he might call me down but that never happened. I'm so fucking mad

Hey there,

If you have a good relationship with your parents it might be a good idea to confide in them about this and let them take care of the situation. It's unfortunate but there are times when teachers and other workers at schools do not do what they need to in order to prevent bullying. If your parents get involved there's a chance it will let the people at your school know that they need to do something or your parents will make a big deal.

Wishing you the best.

Hey,

Maybe you could try going to the assistant principal again? It is possible that he got caught up in something and wasn't able to speak to you as a result of that. We don't know for sure that he didn't want to help; maybe he couldn't at the time. If that doesn't work, consider going over his head to someone else in your school's administration. Talking to your parents as mentioned above may also have its benefits.
