I apologize in advance this story is going to be long It needs explanation. I've been using this website called yahoo answers for about 2 years now. Its very helpful. You can ask questions and advice and get answers from other users. I answered a questions for this one user asking "have you ever made fun of a mentally disabled person". I answered "yes when I was younger I may have snickered or pointed. " something along those lines. I also said something like, but I have grown up and learned not to make fun of people different than me and that they can't help it. I've learned to respect all people for who they are. Well since I answered this question about a year or two ago this person has continued to follow me around yahoo answers. Answering my questions saying I'm something like " A F*cking disabled picker" and other rude insulting names. I know that it sounds immature and childish and I shouldn't get too upset about this but its been going on for over a year like I said. I blocked everything on my yahoo answers profile so he shouldn't be able to find my questions, but somehow he still did. Then this morning I got an email on my facebook account. I never remember putting a link to my facebook on yahoo answers. I reported him and made it so only friends can contact me. Then I look at a answer to my most recent question and its from him saying he made a group targetting me on facebook. Using my full name!! Of course I reported it right away, but this is getting scarry and fustrateing. I feel like whats next? You know. I don't have personal contact information on my facebook, but what if he finds it somehow. What if next he gets my personal aol email? Should I contact the police? Should i stop using yahoo answers? and facebook? Frankly I feel its totally unfair that I can't use these websites without the fear of being stalked and harassed. Its really starting to bother me and bring me down.
sleep talking man: "You can't be a pirate if you haven't got a beard. I said so. MY boat, MY rules." "Vampire penguins? Zombie guinea pigs? We're done for.... done for." "Yeah. Don't forget to dry-clean the baby." Ellen: What are you looking at? Clark: Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn... the clean, cool chill of the holiday air... an asshole in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer... Christmas Vacation |

now that is adult cyber bullying. I do not know what you can do about it law wise. For kids, if you go to the law the cyber bully usually wins. I know in some states that there is laws about cyber bullying, but i'm having issues on finding just what they are. But what this also qualifys as (or i feel it does) is stalking. Now how did he get your full name? if he doesn't know you personally and got from online or whatever thats stepping over a serious line that makes it another level of stalking. Now what you should do is document everything. Print out everything that he has ever said to you. So that if it does get out of hand to the point where you go to the police, you will have evidence. Personally if he somehow goes the next step and somehow get your personal aol, i would report it to the police.
Now the reason it is both stalking and cyber bullying is: The stalking part is this: the fact that he has followed you on a site and also on other sites. Cyberbullying is the fact that he is threating and making a hate group. Now what you should do is google yourself and see jsut what else he has done. scary thought, i know. but it's necessary. " One day at a time, this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering. "
i wonder when i'll finally jsut start accepting myself, when i'll stop saying i wish i could be like that person. i have facebook, and myspace. and you can ask for it. :P |

This is cyber bullying, and if you think his next move is going to be in person.
Then by all means report he/she to the police! The police will know what to do, normally I would suggest something else but this is now very serious. Cyber bullying is a prison punishible offence, and this even more serious than all the stuff i've heard. (also its going to be very hard to lose his trace, seeing as he now has your full name, your better of trying to get rid of the source of the problem) Do your best, Oh and if your nervous about seeing the police, just call them instead. ![]() |
