Today I just wanted to share a video with you all!

As some of you may know, Bo Burnham is one of the world's most famous modern comedians, using combining wit and music.

In high school, he was treated terribly, bullied daily.

This is his newest song, I filmed it myself last Saturday, and there's something about it that just makes me want to share it with all of you, it's sad but it's a beautiful message that I personally think needs to be shared - Things get better, no matter how bad they seem.

I agree. I am a nerd and I like it. I may be different, but I am happy to be. I couldn't stand being normal because some people (a.k.a "Normal") are just plain stupid. No offense to anyone, just making that judgment based on my current school.

I've been on the receiving end of a lot of verbal abuse at school, so I totally get what the song has to say. I'm proud to say I like to write thing with long words, I like to sound like I'm smart, I want to get far in life so I'm proud to say I do my work at school, and I do most of my homework. When someone calls me a nerd, I thank them because I don't see it as an insult as I admit to them, I'm a nerd. When I was called a nerd around grade 6-7, I came up with a few good responses and one of them was "thanks for telling others I'm intelligent and you're stupid", "you're right, nerds do lead the world, I'll be part of that although I cant say the same for you" and "at least I'll be rich and intelligent, what will you be?". Later, instead of getting to pissed off, I'd just laugh at them and thank them for calling me intelligent and likely to be wealthy. I embrace the term. Those who say it in an insulting manner may not but I'm not negatively affected by it, I'm happy to be called a nerd.
