what is wrong with me

ever since my first day of school all i can remember is being bullied, first it was my sister and then all of her friends, the the siblings of her friends kept it going when she left for high school, i moved schools in grade 5 hoping it would help, it did for the first few months, then i got bullied for being "dumb", they made me do tests to see if i had a learning disability, they came to the conclusion that i didnt i had just missed so much from all the bullying, this was all the teachers did about the name callling, i was so releaved when it got time for high school, i thought it would be a new slate, i thought wrong, i made a few friends, but then they turned against me, because all the other groups were already made up i didnt feel like i belonged, i evenually madde friends with the druggos, they forced me to do things i didnt want to and made me give them money, i did it because i thought they were my friends and they would like me more if i did it, i kept getting in trouble for getting caught, i left that school when my parents found out and now i go to a private school, i thought it would be better, but it isnt, i get bagged for the way i look, my weight, my past, because of this i was forced to see te school counselllor, it started to help but then the main person bullying me found out and started bagging me i sai i didnt want to do it anymore becaus ei needed to be in class and it wasnt even helping, she still bags me about it even though i dont do it, the teachers dont do anything, they say they need evidence, but whenever i givethem evidance they just give the bullys warnings. i think there is something wrong with me, why have i never been able to not be bullied, wy do they chose me, is there something wrong with me, everything i do seems to have something wrong with it, i just dont know what to do and what to change about myself to make me better, make me be able to have friends for once, 16 years of this is too much to handle, i cry myself to sleep each night, i cut myself, ive thought about suicide, but people just bag me about it all. i really dont know what i am supposed to do, i just want to know whats wrong with me

Hey hun, let me just start out by saying I know exactly what you're going. I too was bullied by my peers when I was in school for most of my school life. I thought there was something wrong with me also why I couldn't make friends and was always talked about. I want to let you know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. You are a unique human being just like anyone else on this planet. There is nothing you need to change about yourself because everyone is their own person. Unfortunately, I don't know why people bully others. I like to think it's probably because they have insecurities about themselves where they have to put people down to make themselves feel much higher than others and self-worthy. It's really growing out of control nowadays and I wish it would stop. All I know is you have to be strong and keep your head up. Their words have about as much significance as cow s%!#. Maybe you could make a list of things you like do like sports or hobbies and find a club to join and make friends with people who to do the same things you do. Just don't make friends with people who want you to change yourself. Real friends like you for yourself. If you ever need anything you can pm me anytime. Take care!

Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear that you've been bullied for a while. Teachers can be very unpredictable in the action they decide to take, they seem to think that giving a warning each time somebody bullies is a feasable option, but if the bullying still continues; it's obviously not working enough. Nobody should be bullied to the point where they feel suicidal and cut themselves and to even feel bad about themselves, it's completely wrong.

There is a point where enough is enough and there needs to be some sort of intervention that WILL work. Seeing as you've tried talking to the teachers, I would suggest contacting your local police about the bullying and report the people who are doing it. The police may then give them a strict warning, telling them not to do it again and if they do then the police would ensure something further is put in place. They can put a fullstop to these people doing this to you.

I'm glad you've been seeing the school counsellor; continue to see her; regardless of what others say. Tell her everything because it will help you.

Well all I can say is once you just ignore and not care what others have to say you wouldn't feel this way.
