I have a problem. Though I myself am not religious and do not bellive in a god, I do have a Jewish background. Yesterday we had to give a presentation on our familie I of course stated I came from a Jewish background and thats when it started... Somebody put a swastika in my pencilcase. The next thing I found was a necklace with jesus on the cross in my jean pocket, I wear loose jeans so it's easy just to drop them in. Today I opened up my locker and there were loads of swastikas in it that just fell out, everyone looked at me. I don't know what to do anymor, please help me !

Tell any adult what's going on, whether it's the principal, a teacher, or the guidance counselor. The fact that you're being bullied is bad enough, but the fact that it's because of your backgroud or religious beliefs makes it SO much worse.

Hey there,

I'm so sorry for what these people are putting you through. Bullying of any kind is wrong but this really annoyed me. Bringing something as big as the swastika into it angers me. These people are completely in the wrong for what they are doing. You do not deserve this. I feel people would take this pretty seriously if you told them. Considering the background of your family in terms of religion, and that of the swastika, action would have to be taken I believe. Not only that, but if a teacher is told they will no doubt be able to look out for the people who are doing it and therefore target their tendency to upset you.

Honestly though, what they are doing is a bit pointless. You may not be religious but your past is nothing to be ashamed of. Being Jewish is nothing to make fun of and those that do are finding something so tiny that you should be laughing at it! What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't let this get to you. I know it's easier said than done, especially when you say people were looking at you, but what have you got to be ashamed of? Nothing. These people are being mean, you are doing nothing wrong and you never have done. KEep your head held high. You've got family history and you weren't ashamed to speak up about it. Good for you!

I hope this helped you a bit. If you ever want to talk you're welcome to shoot me a PM any time. Remember don't let them get you down, you've got nothing to be ashamed of, they should be ashamed.

Chin up,
Hollie.

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful

I'm sure there's a way to report the account, fake or not for whatever their actions would be considered, I would do that also.

A teacher would be unable to help for this particular issue because it's occurring outside school grounds and they do not have authority on hyves. Instead, report it to the website or block it.

As for the swastikas, it's incredibly cowardice because according to the posts, you don't know who is doing it. I'm not trying to promote bullying but if someone is going to bully, at least have the balls to face the person. No doubt the fact people see swastikas falling out of your locker is awkward for you which is the person's intent but I find it pathetic on their part.

Is there a student name on the hyves account? I've never been a fan of running to the teacher when bullied because the teacher may not do much or it would lead to ridicule for doing so (I've also done the bullying but nothing like what you're describing). If I were in your shoes, I'd confront the person(s) and have them tell me why they hate Jews or whatever their reasons are for putting swastikas and crosses everywhere. It may hurt hearing the answers but it keeps it simpler by getting the answers all at once, plus I could tell them it wouldn't matter if they painted swastikas and crosses all over the walls of the school, I'd continue to be Jewish so they might as well save their energy.

16 year olds doing this... They're acting like 13. I would have thought 16 year olds would find something more useful to do with themselves. Who the f**k could be bothered printing and cutting out so many swasticas just to put them in your locker? Damn... that kind of stupidity didn't happen even in my school.

Although, on the other hand perhaps the person is a hard-line Nazi. It could be the other reason why someone would go through so much effort. But then it proves that instead of being immature that person has an IQ of a sack of onions if he thinks doing this actually achieves anything.

In your place I'd get a huge kick out of just thinking how pathetic whoever who's doing this is. I'd let the hate rain on me and just sit there in the classroom with an arrogant grin on my face, looking around to see who it is who's looking for some sort of reaction out of me. What I'd do next would probably blur the boundaries of right and wrong so I won't go into it. lol

With the fake account maybe print off some of the messages and show them to the teacher as evidence as sometimes it is better to have evidence due to it being the internet they can easily take down the account and deny it, but if you have a piece of paper with the printed account messages and account as evidence there is no way for them to deny it. It is probably worth to tell your home room teacher everything as-well, not just about the on-line site but about the necklace ect too. The quicker you tell someone the quicker they can put a stop to it.

I hope the person isn't a hard-core Nazi because they'd be the laughing stock of not only the school but also of their fellow brothers and sisters. It's like playing a game of tag that's gone boring because the person is that good at hiding, just come out and show themselves. Otherwise, not only are they dumber than a door but they're also cowardly and must have the lowest self-esteem.

I'd do everything you mentioned except I wouldn't be so hasty to blur the boundaries of right and wrong. I'd rather let the hate continue and provoke it to increase, then laugh to myself if it doesn't increase in any way as that shows the person has everything mentioned above plus no creativity. Of course, depending on their responses I'd be willing to see how far the person can go, and perhaps BDF and I would have similar ideas in mind, so as they say, two heads are better than one lol

I highly doubt the person is a Nazi, more likely just a troll, or figures that it will get a rise out of you. As a Fascist, I can promise you wholeheartedly, we have far better things to do then to act like asshats and throw Swastikas everywhere (not to mention we're not Nazis, we're Fascists, we use a Fasces). Anyway, I'm sorry this is happening to you, I'm sure you can talk to your homeroom teacher, but it'll be hard to actually find out who it is.

Not to mention, it's just some coward who won't show his face if he is actually in support of said symbols. A real man would confront and enounce someone openly, not hide in anonimity. Report this person right away.

Honestly, I would have found a lighter and burned the cross necklace, smelted it right in front of the class.

Tell a teacher or someone of authority and find a coping method.

It sucks that you need to go through this, and I wish you the best.

the best thing is to tell someone anyone, i've been bullied 4 times and the only time i told anyone is when it stopped, my parents told my school about what these boys wrote about me on facebook and they even sent me the text they sent to everyone about me you have to tell someone it helps for the first few weeks people will call you tell tale or similar words but if you turn it back on them like say someone came up to you and said why did you tell on .... say something like because the sky was green or because the voices were telling me to eventully the person doesnt keep asking you the question why you told DONT react to it or else they'll keep doing it. there only doing it because they are insecure NOT YOU. i bet atleast 1 of the people putting swastikka's on your belongings have jewish backgrounds aswell.keep strong.

hope it gets better!

Hey there,

I'm so sorry that those kids are putting you through something like that!! Whether you practice the Jewish faith or not, there is no reason to taunt you or your background. I'm sure you're very proud of where you come from, and it stinks that some people can't seem to accept that.

That being said, some kind of action needs to be taken. I know a lot of the other posters have talked about telling an adult, and I couldn't agree more. Whether it's a counselor, a teacher, or the principal, telling someone is likely to stop this kind of behavior. They will be able to look out for the bullies and discipline them appropriately.

I hope this childish behavior stops soon.

Take care,
Sammi.
