FRIENDSHIP/ANTI BULLYING WEEK -
December 7th 2011, 10:14 AM
Hey guys, just wanna share that last week, my school (and possibly other schools) had a friendship (anti-bullying) week. We got off our first lesson each morning, and went to learn about bullying, how to stop it, what to do if you're the bully/getting bullied.
It was a great experience and I must say, I learned alot, and so did my other classmates. THEY SHOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN EVERY SCHOOL!

This sounds really awesome.
In my school the sixth formers had an assembly in which our head of sixth form got two volunteers up to the front and gave them both a sheet of paper. She got the to tear bits off and scrunch it up and jump on it - literally - and then try to straighten it out again. She said that if we imagine the paper as a person, it represents the scars left behind by bullying. Once a person is bullied they'll always remember the things that were said. I'm proof of that. She said she was proof of that too. Everyone should have the chance to an education about bullying. It's an issue that people know about but don't always understand fully. The effects it can have on an individual, what is considered bullying, and even the full definition of the word 'bullying' are a bit unclear for many people - me being one of them until not very long ago. I think opening peoples eyes to it is a great thing to do, and the schools that do this are great. ![]() Take care, Hollie. ![]() Would you let me see beneath your beautiful Would you let me see beneath your perfect Take it off now girl, take it off now girl I wanna see inside. ღ |

Yeah We have something like that every year too! Its such a great experience and its sad that not every school does it! Bullying is a bad thing that seems to be spreading and getting worse! So events like help prevent and share the awareness of the situation!
Thank you for sharing! I wish everyone did something like this as well! Chris Jackson
