Everyone thinks I'm a snitch

On the bus, a guy was beating a girl. And I was sitting right next to them
when this was happening. Well i went to the office and reported it. i think that was mostly because there was a ten year old girl that committed suicide
because of bulling.
And ever since that people have been trying to get me back. What would you do? I'm nervous to tell anyone.

First of all, you are not a snitch. What you did was the right thing and will help tons of other students in the future from being bullied. Whether you realize it or not, someone who knows what you did appreciates it, admires it, and will return that favor to someone else down the road because they saw you do it.

The people trying to get you back are the bullies themselves and even if they weren't the ones doing the bullying you reported, they're still bullies regardless. Please do not hesitate to inform any adult or teacher at your school about what's going on, that way you can make sure that someone is aware and can be there to help you, if needed. Over time though, the students will forget what happened and something new will come along to take their attention.

I agree with Steph. You are not a snitch. You did what was right, and you maybe even prevented another suicide. Bullying is a very serious thing and 1 person kills themselves every 18 minutes due to some type of bullying or abuse.

You reported something that needed to be reported. I think that you should maybe go to your school principal or someone else and tell them that others are trying to get you back.

Bullying needs to end, and you are helping it by telling an adult - if anything, you should be proud that you did something that may have saved someones life. Personally - I'm proud of you and I don't even know you.

Let's be realistic. You are a snitch. But it's not as if you owed any of those shitbags any favours, so you didn't wrong them in any way by telling on them. It could have been anyone telling on them, but you took the initiative.

If they're going to fuck around, they should be prepared for a backlash. You did the right thing. If you didn't tell on them someone else might have, so it shouldn't be anything personal against you. They only have themselves to blame. If they bother you further... snitch again!! Like I said, it's not as if you owe them any sort of gratitude or favour, or are friends with any of them (I assume).

I have to agree with BDF, you are without a doubt a snitch, there's no way to think otherwise. However, the more important issue is whether you snitched in order to have someone in trouble intentionally or if you snitched in order to protect someone. In my view, you did the latter, you saw someone getting assaulted and you brought it to the attention of the school authority. There's nothing wrong with that and anyone witnessing the event was just as likely to snitch.

When you snitch, regardless of the reason, you should expect some negative response from others simply because they didn't want to get in trouble. You burst their bubble and if they decide to take matters in their own hands, then you should continue to be a snitch as that is what they deserve and you're not trying to manipulate them for your own needs or desires. Those individuals want you to be nervous so you won't tell anyone, so if you do give in, then you're allowing them to control you, which I guarantee isn't something you want.

i would have done the exact same thing.
actually--maybe i wouldn't have. but i sure would try from now on. you see, a few years ago, i was sitting right in between these girls who were bullying this boy and calling him a fag, and i wanted to get involved but i didn't know what to do and they were all older than me so i was scared. i can't get that scene out of my head, and i wish so badly that i could redo it and say something or go to the principal about it, but now it's way too late.
so, you, my friend, are my hero, and i really wish there were more people in this world who were as brave and as noble as you are! don't you dare feel bad just because of what other people think--you may have saved that girl's life--who knows what that could have escalated to, what might have happened a week from now, a month from now if you hadn't gotten involved.

I have to disagree with those who called you a snitch. You obviously told someone about that girl being beat on and you were looking out for that girl who was being bullied BUT I would call it something different. 'Snitch' sounds like a bad word, and what you did was good. Even if he's 'mad' at you for telling on him and making him look 'bad'.. pst. Who cares? Her safety is much more important than someone being mad.

You did the right thing and I appreciate people like you. Bullies are the weakest people, in my eyes, because they just want to hurt people to make themselves feel better. That's wrong. Those people who are trying to 'get you back' should get in trouble too. Tell the authorities or a trusted adult about what they're doing to you so this stops.

Bullying is NOT okay and it needs to stop. With you reporting such acts, it could potentially show others that it's not okay to hurt people physically or emotionally.

Telling on someone for taking something that doesn't belong to them is a snitch. Telling on someone for helping someone and protecting their well-being, is not.

Its good that you told someone because if that was happening to me I would like someone to be told because then things can get sorted out. You did the right thing, who cares if you get called a snitch, that girl might have been too scared to tell the teachers or anyone so you probably helped a lot. Also think you would want someone to tell if that was happening to you so you did the right thing

You are not a snitch. Clear that from your head. What you did was the right thing to do. I think about that what would you do tv show. You know the one that was on ABC or NBC. They had stuff like that and people who actually told on the people was a good thing. So don't think what you did was wrong.

Meranda, listen I've been bullied m whole life, and it sucks.
I really wish someone would have suck up for me.So with those
people telling you you're a snitch tell them to suck it. I agree that people have their
