Re: Call from girl claiming to have slept with my boyfriend -

You can contact your phone company and try to talk to them about it. And if you are receiving several calls you can then contact the police and they can trace it (but will only do so if its a harassing message(s).
As far as suing, I would talk to a lawyer about that. Depending on location - you may. But as far as I know, in the US, you cant sue for having someone try to break up a relationship. Best wishes, Chris Chris Jackson

Your best bet for getting the number is to call the phone company and have them give it to you. I'm confused why you want to sue because it was a single event (i.e. no harassment), was non-threatening, not intentionally malicious (i.e. the person sounded as though they were intoxicated), did not slander you, etc... . The lady's statement of "call back to figure this out" could be seen as inviting a physical fight but it's not threatening and I presume she has not followed up on it.
If anyone were to sue it would be your boyfriend, although that's still stretching the law a lot so I doubt a court would even bother to hear it. If you were to sue, you would get into trouble because the person can counter-sue you for making false accusations and possibly slander (depending if you retaliate to the person after finding out who they are). Also, since you even said you thought it was a prank call and thereby not malicious, you instantly negate almost any lawsuit on your part. Basically, it boils down to you suing someone for trying to break up a relationship, which is not illegal nor criminal. Just forget about it and move on. I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.
