These pictures killed the last good feeling.. - January 25th 2012, 07:07 PM

Yesterday, I was having the time of my life with my bestfriend, we went out for lunch, and joked around etc. Then I get a text from my friend... it said 'Hey, this guy from school is showing around naked pictures of you around school.' (For confidential reasons, i wont say names)
So, obviously that ruined my good feeling. Just that morning my mom and I got into a rut and she told me basically that 'if youre going to act like a little bitch, find your own ride too work' so ontop of all that stress, I now have this added on. The pictures came from this guy I know who I sent the pictures too a long time ago, under the impression he deleted them. Apparently a friend named 'David' stole his phone and sent the pictures to every he knew.
Currently, Im on exam break until Feb 1st which is the day semester 2 starts, and also the day I have to face the music so too speak. Im extremely nervous, and I dont want yall too tell me how stupid it was too take those pictures. Im prone to mistakes too. I realize it was stupid, and ive smartened up since then.
Karma is a bitch, i suppose.
Now im faced with a choice - to switch schools and move to my nannys, or stay in my current school and stay with my parents.
My home life sucks, and now the only haven or get away i had from home sucks too (school). Im leaning towards moving in with my nanny.
I want to think it over until this weekend. Im torn, and this is awful.
I hope this is the right category, I assume what is happening to me is a form of bullying.
Also, this situation has been making me think the not so healthy thoughts of resorting back to my old self harm ways. Ive resisted, but its so hard :l

If you're 16. It's illegal for them to be even having these pictures!
You should tell someone at school about it, or your family if that could be an option.

Hey there,

Yes, the pictures were a bit silly to send, but it's done now and you know that and I know that. Obviously if the pictures are going around, there's little you can do in terms of actually stopping them spreading, unless you tell someone, but I'm unsure how well that will work. The same thing happened at my school last year. A girl got a picture spread around, and it was quite the gossip for a while. However, now nobody really remembers it. After a while something new will be the biggest news and joke, and this will be forgotten. It's the way schools work these days, unfortunately. A rumour goes around, and then something replaces it and it's forgotten. So really, while I know it's embarassing now and it's going to be hard to deal with, don't worry. It will pass over. If it's a big worry, talk to people about it. Other than that, I'm unsure of what to offer you in terms of constructive advice. It's a tricky situation.

As for the switching schools option, it's something you can consider, but to me it seems drastic, then again I've never been in this position. If you say your home life and school life are on the down side right now, and you truly think that living with your grandmother will be helpful to you, then sure, why not? At the end of the day you need to do what's best for you. If it will make you happy to be somewhere new, with new people and surroundings, then by all means choose that because at the end of the day, if you're unhappy and resorting back to self harm, something's not right. I'd suggest you talking about that, by the way. Try to get as much support as you can BEFORE things get out of hand. It's okay to not be okay, but just remember that you don't have to be alone in this.

Good luck with anything you choose to do.
Hollie.

Before deciding whether to move with your grandmother, face the music at school. You get the chuckle or remark for a while but it's going to blow over because it's popular at first and then dwindles away. There was a case I think in 2008 of a girl who posted nude photos of herself on her Myspace account in an attempt to somehow impress and win back her boyfriend. If your nude photos find their way onto popular sites, such as Myspace or FaceBook, then there can definitely be legal trouble coming your way.

I do think you should stay at your current school, even if you get humiliated. As much as it may suck, it's a learning experience because you learn how to stay positive and persist in hostile situations. You can also count on your friends to help you through the crap you're in.

I can rip you off, and steal all your cash, suckerpunch you in the face, stand back and laugh. Leave you stranded as fast as a heart-attack.
