I'm scared to go to school - November 12th 2015, 08:25 AM

So today during Physical Ed class we were having a track and field relay and when it was my turn to run, I fell really bad and I couldn't move my leg or much or walk so I was brought to the school clinic and they bandaged it.

I'm at home and a bit better now and it's not my leg i'm worrying about but I'm scared that if I go to school tomorrow, people will keep asking about what happened (lots of people saw me when I fell and it's was humiliating because of my anxiety. A lot of people stared).
This is really stupid but I'm just really really nervous and I don't want people fussing over me or asking me if I'm alright.

Hey

I understand what you mean. Something you might want to think about is that if people ask about you, it's because they're concerned! If it's people you don't normally speak to, it might simply be a case of them asking "are you okay?" and you answering yes! A lot of people ask out of courtesy but I doubt they'll fuss if you let them know you're perfectly okay now!

Remember your anxiety will make you dread going to school but in reality, it won't be as bad as you imagine. Anxiety makes worries run wild, and sometimes even just accepting it's the anxiety making you feel like you do, as opposed to their being an actual threat, can help you calm down.

Take as long as you need.
