Anxiety and Stress This forum is for seeking advice on anxiety and stress related issues.
Hi there,
This can be a little tricky and tends to be a lot of trial and error for people. To start, I always recommend, and personally always turn to The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook it teaches you a whole lot about anxiety, how to cope, your treatment options, etc and it's been a staple in most places for treatment and CBT for years.
Speaking of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) if you have access to a counsellor/psychologist/doctor I would look into trying to get into this type of therapy. It's beneficial in so many ways, not usually long-term and a lot less invasive than many other therapy approaches. It sets out to help you identify and change your thought patterns and behaviours that come with anxiety and provide you with the tools to react and cope.
I know the difficulty of finding something that works, and the frustration of relying on pills. I hope all works out for you.
xx
