Hey, Victoria! Welcome to TeenHelp.

I'm sorry that you're having a hard time with your anxiety right now. Has anything in particular triggered your anxiety?

Do you have many techniques to resort to when your anxiety is affecting you? Lots of simple ways of relaxing can be helpful if you commit to it and just focus on the technique. Practice deep breathing. Close your eyes and only focus on breathing in, and breathing out. Count your breathes. Think of a peaceful and beautiful place, whether it be the forest, a river or even an open field. Imagine yourself there. When you're struggling with your anxiety, have you tried using any scented candles? Different scented candles can have a strong calming affect on some people that are feeling anxious.

In the meantime, have you tried exercising to blow off steam? You could go for a quick run or a bike ride. And for something more on the relaxing side; yoga. Have you ever done yoga? It can be very relaxing and help you focus and feel more calm. Doing something that allows you to get out of your head for a little while may be helpful, such as going for a walk, watching a movie, spending time with a friend or family member, spending time with a pet or doing a hobby that you enjoy etc. A simple hobby like crafts or a jigsaw puzzle might help you focus on something rather than your anxiety and end up calming you. Journaling to express your feelings and worries may be helpful as well.

Finding out how to relax and manage your anxiety would be great, but if you feel that nothing works then I suggest reaching out to someone if you haven't already. Talking to a counselor may help you to get to the root of the problem and begin taking steps in resolving some of your anxiety. On that note, have you talked to anyone close to you about your anxiety, such as a friend or your parents? Opening up to someone might make you feel better knowing you aren't alone.

Hope this helped. I wish you the best of luck!
