5 HTP drug for anxiety

Anyone have any history with this drug?

I've read that it can work well but I was just wondering if you guys had any thoughts.

I personally would not trust anything over the counter that was meant to effect my brain. 5 HTP has hardly been studied at all in a clinical setting, which raises a huge red flag. If you're taking any MAOIs or SSRIs, 5 HTP can cause serotonin syndrome. You really should see a doctor or psychiatrist about your anxiety rather than trying some over the counter supplement you can get at most any drugstore.

Have you been to the doctors about your anxiety? Because they may be able to offer you treatment without the use of drugs. Also, I wouldn't recommend you buying drugs like that without consulting the doctor.

If you don't feel comfortable visiting the doctor you could try some herbal medicines and ask the staff at Holland and Barratt what remedies they're suggest as they're usually knowledgeable about this sort of thing, I've asked them before about things to help anxiety.
