social anxiety!!

i'm going to my boyfriend's sisters wedding and its coming up pretty soon, and im extremely nervous. I'm not going to know hardly anyone there and my boyfriend wont even be at the same table as me for the reception because he is part of the wedding party. i've never been to a wedding before so i dont know what you do at weddings and im terrified of meeting new people. anyadvice please!

Just relax, be yourself, make casual conversation. It'll be your boyfriend's family mostly, so you could probably meet quite a few of them before you go to the wedding, that way you'll know people there Most importantly, don't worry - it's a family event, everyone will be friendly and in high spirits because it is a wedding.

I had this one, almost exactly. I went to my boyfriends dad's wedding, and was told I'd be sat with him for the whole shebang. instead, I wound up with his aunt, uncle and three cousins, who I'd never met, and I was terrified. The long and short of it? They were stark raving bonkers, looked after me, bought me drinks, made me laugh and I actually had a wonderful time. Just remember, no-one's going to hurt you or anything, like Snufkin said, everyone will be cheerful and will want to talk to you You'll do fine
