Mindfulness? - April 6th 2011, 10:27 AM

Basically, I saw my care co-ordinator today and she wanted me to get some books from the library about mindfulness to try and help me cope with my anxiety and stress. I'd never heard of it until today, she said it was about thinking in the moment and self awareness or something?
Has anyone done anything like this and if you have, did it actually work? I'm kind of skeptical.

Hey Ella,

I would strongly encourage you to try this because you have nothing to lose from giving it a go. It could be really helpful to you but you don't know until you try. I have done some mindfulness stuff in the past and it was actually pretty helpful. It can be difficult to start with in keeping your mind focussed but it is all about practice.

I hope you do give it a go.
