If you feel that you can truly trust your best friends, which I hope that you can, you should tell them. They can probably help you with your anxiety and make you feel more comfortable when in public and with your peers. Also, have you seen a doctor about your anxiety? They might be able to prescribe medication to help you.

Now that we're here, it's so far away
All the struggle we thought was in vain
An' all the mistakes one life contained
They all finally start to go away

How can I be lost?
If I've got nowhere to go?

I would talk to your friends. If they're true friends, they should understand and be able to support you Maybe they could have some tips to help you feel less anxious. Also, have you been to a doctor to talk about your anxiety? You could benefit from therapy and/or medication. I know they help a lot of people so maybe you could get some answers there. Good luck<3
