Cool Knitting! - January 16th 2010, 03:25 AM

I used to knit a lot more than I did now, but I've been super busy with school. I've been doing latchhook right now, and it is really easy to do while watching TV.

Who else here knits?

I would absolutely love to learn to knit! Yarn is delicious<3. But everyone tells me it's hard to learn to do on your own. I'm going to, anyways, I just need to do my research and figure out what is best to buy.

I used to do lots of latchhook. I should do some, again.

And you know that, mother, I'd be lying, if I didn't tell you I'm afraid of dying.
I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
I told you to be balanced
I told you to be kind

I learned from my grandma. Most craft stores have a beginning knitting class that you can take. You can also buy needles and yarn there.
I think that my school should have a knitting club.

I've tried knitting before, I found it too hard and gave up. But I might be tempted to try it again in the future.

Come on boys, come on girls
In this crazy, crazy world
You’re the diamonds, you’re the pearls
Let’s make a new tomorrow
Come on girls, come on boys
It’s your future, it’s your choice
And your weapon is your voice
Let’s make a new tomorrow

I learned to knit in school, when I was like 7. I used to do quite a lot of it but now I just never have the time.

Re: Knitting! - January 17th 2010, 02:49 AM

I learned to knit from videos on youtube. I found it pretty easy to catch on. Now I'm mostly teaching myself from books and videos, finding patterns and just going at them. Sometimes I screw up, but then I just unravel and try again. It took me forever to figure out I-cords. When school's in I find it hard to make time for knitting. I really should do it more often.

Not around so much now that school's started

"Live a good life.
If there are gods and they are just,
then they will not care how devout you have been,
but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by.
If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them.
If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life
that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."
