Volunteering - January 24th 2010, 12:22 PM

I didn't know quite where to post this, so I posted it here

I was wondering how many of you do community service, or volunteer somewhere. Engaging and being part of the community is something wonderful to be apart of.

I personally Volunteer weekly at a coffee shop located inside a hospital. I also am involved with my church and are apart of the senior choir.

What do you all do for your community? We can all make a diffrence somehow.

Quote:
I volunteer at my local hospital. I do it because I want to because my school forces me too.

I volunteer in A&E which mostly involves taking patients, relatives and staff tea, coffee, water, sandwiches and biscuits.

I also volunteer in one of the wards where I do more administrative work and generally tidy up. I also talk to patients who don't have visitors at visiting hours.

I love it
Since then I now also volunteer in a Charity Shop.

I'm going to close this because we have had a thread like this one here - http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f219-...unity-service/
and it is fairly recent.
