Stuck in a rut -

So I've been playing the violin for the past 3 years and I'm currently on grade 5.
I can play everything easily enough, but I can't seem to put enough emotion into pieces, and definatly not the emotion I feel when I play a certain piece. Today I found the sheet music for Thao Nguyen Xanh's Sad Romance, this piece makes me cry, it is so beautiful. I recorded myself playing it and it just sounds, well plain. I can't seem to put how I'm feeling whilst playing into the piece, if you get what I mean. Anyone have any tips or suggestions? This is really starting to bug me now.   |

I was going to suggest find a piece you know, and have a lot of feeling for.... alternatively, try and find a clip fo someone else playing to - so can get a feel for it. Also, if the sheet music has f, mf, mp etc written in - make sure you try and follow them - also there is nothing wring with adding in yout own dynamics that you feel fit :]
