Put on some fun music and dance around while you're doing it!
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |

Yes, it is a very boring thing to do but it can be made a little interesting. Whenever I find that I am stuck in a situation where large amounts of cleaning need to be done, I just pick up my and plug in and switch on my iPod. It helps when there is music around to sing along with and you can almost dance around while cleaning a room. Try it sometime. Especially the sing-along loudly part.

Do it and do not put it off until it gets that way. If you would do it like just fold your clothes right after washing them ect it would not take as long.

I get distracted when I clean my room ... like "oh wow I forgot I had this, I'll just play with it for a while".
But as has been said when I stick to it, music usually helps

Blasting music usually helps :3
But i can't clean my room, i always get distracted by old stuff, like whoa! i haven't seen this in forever, then like flashbacks about it. xD I watch the hope I had disintegrate before my eyes. I take a minute and reflect on your fucking lies! Behind the door, you have two choices, but you don't get to choose. You can survive or you can die - either way you lose! |

As everyone said, music can really help, especially if you can sing/dance to it.
Possibly set yourself a goal - like, if you do x amount in a certain time, then you can go and watch TV for a bit? That way you'll have that to look forward to, and it may not seem as boring. Also, I've found that whenever I clean my room, I rearrange things. I move things my bookshelf to my desk, my desk to my other bookshelf, my wardrobe to my drawers, etc. That way I'm thinking about that - like, what I'm going to rearrange next - and not how boring the cleaning itself is. Good luck! Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh, and cruel. But that's why there's us - champions. Doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world is as it should be, to show it what it can be. |

I have a gene that runs in my family that means I like cleaning.
Ideas: Play music and clean to the beat Try to time yourself while folding clothes or whatever. Make it fun like redecorating a little too. Take before and after pics Start at the door and pick up everything you find and work your way in. Work non-stop for 10 min and then take a 5 min break and keep going like that. |

Turn your music up looooouuuuddddd!
And maybe you could have a big change in your room and move stuff about so you'll keep going and be excited to see the finished result
♥ Your heart's tangled up in silence,
It's time to let go, Feel the light, I know it's easier to hide, But you gotta let go, Feel the light, Let go and feel the light. ♥ |
