I need a life...

hi, i spend all day on the computer. i do all sorts of things. i'm trying to program, i do research on various things, and i play video games. but i spend all day in my room. (most of my friends are like me exept some spend all day playing video games). when i go to school, my life is different, i have a life. but during summer im mostly life less. i did go on vaction 2ce this summer and it was amazing. i did so much new stuff. but im feeling down about it and its bugging me. can anyone give me tips or anything that comes to your mind? if so much appriciated!

this happens to alot of people. my advice is either get out of the house more and spend more time with your friends and not jsut playing video games. or jsut wait for school.

Your friends spend the day basically doing the same thing?
Why don't you all get together and do something together. Hang out altogether and play video games. You could all get together and go to the beach if you live in a beach spot or out to a lake if you have a lake near you thats is swim friendly.
Get together and just do things together.

If you don't want to get out with your friends, find things in the community to do.

Yeah, ask a friend to meet up. Go to the cinemas or shopping or to the park? I started volounteering as well, it gives you good experience, gets you out and about and also, you meet new people I met some great people when I did it!

well we did go to howies game shack a couple of times (a place with like 50 gaming computers and about 30 xboxes) we also went airsofting 2ce and to the movies 1ce. but it just dosent seem like that much.

It doesn't have to be much. It can just be yall together messin around and having fun. That is all anything has to be. It doesn't have to be big or extravagant. It doesn't need to cost a lot either.

I have the same issue. I'm generally a quiet and in the shadows type of person. I spend nearly all my time in my room. I don't have that many friends here at school so the loner thing is just what I've had to come to get used to.

Looking forward for school to start though so I can at least be doing something.

I basically do the same thing - when summer starts my time is spent on the computer because I'm trying to harness graphic/web design skills (so of course I'd be on the computer all the time).

If going on the computer is getting you down you can always hang out with your friends to the beach or something or even take up a new hobby. What do you like to do that's outside technology?

A lot of people end up becoming a hermit during the summer Some people think it's good for them because when going back to college, you don't have time to breathe haha. Maybe it only applies to college kids, but I find summer to rejuvenate myself by learning new things and taking care of myself.

i took up airsofting but that didnt last too long. i got good at it but my friends either fell into river and broke theirs or got shoot up so much they quit. i also try to go mountain biking but we havent found a good time to go.
