Humping is NOT dancing. :P -
October 11th 2010, 03:34 AM
So, last night was my school's homecoming dance. I was really excited, and ended up having an even better time than last year!
But some of my friends and I spent today talking about most couples version of dancing, which is pretty much just grinding/humping. It's the same every dance/formal, but it's still disgusting every time. Even some of my friends were doing it. I mean seriously, I get that everyone can dance however they want to, but that isn't really something that I want to see. Save it for yourselves. :P
Who are you to tell me that I'm less than what I should be?
I'm stronger than that. |

It's always the same at the dances at my school. Me and my friends usually spend all or most of the dance making fun of the grinding

I totally get what you are saying! My friends and I usually end up making fun of their cool way of dancing.

It really is a tad inappropriate. When i was a senior, my school actually had all dances canceled because of "Dirty Dancing" xD.

I hate it too.... unless I'm like crazy in the mood and then it can be fun
I remember during my black&white dance I was like frontal grinding a girl friend of mine... even though I'm straight, but it was a freaking ball Minus all the guys looking >.> xD

I guess I'll be the first one to say I enjoy dancing like that lol. Grinding is fun, but it's really over the top when it looks like two people very well could be having sex right then and there. Then it's gross.

I'm with you, Myss.
I take swing, jazz, latin and reggaeton dance classes, but when I go out somewhere and they're playing top 40 hip hop/pop, I get my grind on. ![]() Jillian Jayde In the depths of winter, I looked inside myself and found an invincible spring. - Camus

Totally agree with you, I've gladly never seen it in person, but I'vee seen it otherwise. And my freind saw that at her homecoming. Nasty stuff! X(

AHAHAHAH. I love this thread. We don't really get 'dances' as such here, so...the parties and such are the places where it'll happen, and nobody cares.
It's all good. I don't really feel uncomfortable around it, I'm fine. So long as it makes people happy.

bahaha I was watching tv with my mom and they showed a dance and I was like, yeah they don't dance like that at dances...
But yeah. Prom people actually WERE having sex. It was just hard to tell who was and who was just griding. I most certainly did not join in. "'Colie, you should never be surprised when people treat you with respect. You should expect it.' I shook my head. 'You don't know--' I began. But, as usual, she didn't let me finish. 'Yes,' she said simply, 'I do know. I've watched you, Colie. You walk around like a dog waiting to be kicked. And when someone does, you pout and cry like you didn't deserve it.' 'No one deserves to be kicked,' I said. 'I disagree,' she said flatly. 'You do if you don't think you're worth any better...'" |
