Question Re-decorating Room. - October 25th 2010, 09:27 AM

I was thinking of re-decorating my room because I'm really not happy with it at the moment. I want to go with a contemporary look. Does anyone have any ideas?

I dont know the size/shape of your room, but something like one wall in a contrasting/just different colour to the rest of your room can work quite well.

And a wardrobe with mirrors on the doors on one side can make a huge difference as it can make it look a lot bigger than it really is.

And just changing where your bed, cupboard etc is can make it feel like a completely different room. My stuff is all fitted so its boring as hell, so I have a each wall in a different colour xD

I also mounted my tv from the wall and it just frees up space to be more creative, I could have put it on the ceiling if I really wanted to

Hey Rianna I moved this to General because I feel like you would get better replies here.

The first thing to do is change the order of things in your room. Moving you bed, dresser, etc can make a big difference.

Next, pick patterns and colors that you like.

There is a site for ideas for contemporary bedroom design.

Lastly, have fun and play around with things.
