City/Country? - December 24th 2010, 04:37 AM

Are you a city person or a country person?
I love both, but I am personally way more for the city. I love the city, I actually love the sirens and love the traffic and the sights and sounds and lights of the city. I could never leave it.
How about you guys? And what do you love about the city or the country, whichever one you choose?

I love the country because its quiet and peaceful and you can see the stars.
Cities are just too loud and busy for me. I'm the kind of person who would rather curl up under a warm blanket and watch movies while it snows rather then be outside running around playing in it.

Country, for sure.
Right now we live in the city, and it's ok but I'd prefer to move to a small town.

City I hate not having something to do when I go to a small town. I get bored easy and there is always something to do in the city.

I've always lived in the country, and I love it. I like day trips to the city, maybe a week here or there, but I think I'd get sick of it pretty quickly.

Gah, as much as I hate to admit it, I am a city person. I thrive on chaos, and hecticness, and traffic, and what not.

I mean, common, I live in Seattle.

I'm a city person. I love all the sights and sounds and the fact that everything is right there for you, whereas in the country, it's too quiet and deserted I feel.

I've lived in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere for all my life. If we didn't have a car it would be awful living here. I would prefer to live in a city.

I'm a country boy.
It so much more peaceful!
Less stress and more freedom.
An open sky,
And the stars how they should really be seen.

I love it so close to nature really...

Country girl here. I hate the city. Too many people, and just too busy for me.
I love the country cause well...the houses aren't packed together like a can of sardines. I like the open space, and the quiet.

City

I wouldn't like to live in the city centre though...just on the outskirts...so it's close enough to walk/public transport but you don't get loads of people around all the time.

I grew up in a large metropolitan city, and I wish I could go back all the time. I've been living in small towns for the past 8 years, and it's getting annoying. Cause you can't go for movies, or to the mall, or even to a bigger grocery store, or find the right candy/drink. xD

But I like the country... just would prefer to live in the city.

I think they both have their pros and cons. I love the city coz of the energy and business. But I love the countryside coz you have it all to yourself. And the silence in the country is amazing! Wouldnt like to live properly in the countryside though, the novelty would wear off and youd be miles away from everywhere useful :S

Well, I've lived most of my life in the Burbs. But I guess you can say I'm more of a city girl. I currently go to college in the city, and I definitely prefer the city to the country. There were times I'd loved to have a bunch of cats, some goats, and all; but I don't foresee that in my future. I predict I'll remain a city girl for the rest of my life. (Yes, people, Iowa has cities. )

I'll always be a city girl. :] I live in the middle of a big city & I love all the chaos and loudness, and ahh it's just amazing. Not to mention like Kyle said, the city lights, and I also live on top of a hill, being able to see so many things is breathtaking. Plus, going into the country messes with my allergies big time, but it is nice to go there every once in a while. (:

haha I wrote a compare and contrast essay once about city life vs. country life.
Personally, I'm always gonna be a country girl at heart =)
I grew up in a town that can neither be classified as a city or the country.. Our main street is very city-like, but then on the other side of town it's a bunch of farm land and just acres and acres of pretty nature lol
I grew up on nature, country music, and farms. I love visiting the city, but I'd rather live out in the country ^^

I prefer city over country. I've lived in the country pretty much my whole life, but I live relatively close (not even half an hour) to the second-biggest city in my state. And there's a lot of stuff everybody in my area does there, so I spend a lot of time in the city... And I LOVE it. So much more lively and fun than being in the middle of nowhere. :P

Neither. I am not as country as my ex and his friends who lived in rural Ohio. My GPS and Google have no idea where his house is. However, I am not city like my current boyfriend's brother is.

I want to move out to the country and get used to that, but I am not entirely sure if it is a good idea now. I enjoy the thought of living in an area surrounded by farm land, however the thought of something going wrong does scare me. Plus knowing how bad the response time is of either an ambulance or a volunteer-only fire department is not reassuring.

I love the City and I don't mind the Country.
With the City, there's always things to do and I like to go out. Because I grew up in London, I'm sort of used to the hussle and bussle of the people as well as the noises that come with it.
The Country isn't too bad because you get to bond with nature and see the stars too.
...Even though I live in a suburb haha.
