Smile I'm gonna have a party! - January 23rd 2011, 06:31 PM

hopefully anyway. depends on money...

but yeah; last one i had people sorta seperated emselves..there were few people actually talking to eachother. mainly because it was a mix of out of school friends and in school friends. but my 16th is in a few months and i wanna have a party.

any ways, any suggestions as to how to get people to enjoy it more and mix with eachother?

(it's gonna be a hall party btw..music and people and food and drinks...in a hired hall or summin)

- H. x

I had this problem at the start of my 18th and then alcohol loosened everyone up and got them talking. Obviously you can't do that since your too young.

16 is a tough age for parties, your all too old for party games and too young too drink.

You could try introducing some people from in school to people out of school before the party. Then they will know each other and talk at the party and then once the 2 groups start to mix they will all start introducing each other and mix together (Hopefully anyway).

Music is a good way to get people to mix. Get music everyone likes and then people are more likely to mix when dancing and stuff.

Also there are some party games you are never too old for.
Depending on adults and stuff you can do truth or dare. That always gets people talking, I would avoid spin the bottle though if not everyone knows each other.
Oh and piñata's are great what ever age. My friend had one at her 18th and it was hilarious.
Limbo and Twister are always funny too.

Music is my best advice. It gets people onto the dance floor and mixing. Or you could try intoducing people to eachother yourself.

If you try and organize activities and such, people might become disinterested (my opinion). If I were you I'd just make sure you have a dance floor or dance area, good house music, food, and drinks. People will start to get into it and mingle with each other eventually. If you really want to go out of the box, I'd suggest maybe getting disco lights, cool lighting, and maybe a DJ.

In the end, it's your party so you should do what you think will fit better. I'm just sharing what I've seen at my most memorable parties. Hope this helped!
