Japanese Futon - March 22nd 2011, 07:08 PM

Has anyone slept in one? Are they comfy? I'm thinking about getting one, my bed has too much coverings and is too far from the ground lol

So yeah, are they comfy? Where can I get a cheap one in the UK?

I thought about you for the rest of the day.
Catching my head turning to find you again.
I hated myself for it.

We have one at my place and it's pree comfortable though I hardly sleep on it since its mainly for guests, but no guests hgave ever complained about it so I guess it isn't that bad. AndI have no idea where you can get one in the uk for obvious reasons But uh maybe try looking in second hand furniture stores.

Whenever I slept over at my friend Chelsea's house, I always slept on one. It's very comfortable. When you get done sleeping, it folds into a couch. That is pretty awesome.

My friend has one. I personally don't find it too comfortable when it's folded out into a bed, but my friend sleeps on it as a couch. She's had it for a while but she's getting back pains and having a few problems sleeping. I think that's to do with the size of it though, but they seem pretty cool.

As for getting one cheap in the UK, I wouldn't know where to suggest. Ask some people around the area or something, or a furniture shop.

I slept on one once at a friend's relative's place, and I found that the bars underneath the mattress thing dug into my back hardcore. Not my cup of tea, but maybe the mattress was just a piece. I like the idea of the space saving, though. As for finding one in the UK, try secondhand stores or there's gotta be a furniture store that has them--they're quite commonplace here, anyways.

"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it.
I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote,
“Dear Jim: I loved your card.”
Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.”
That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything.
He saw it, he loved it, he ate it."
