Choosing College Orientation Activities -
June 7th 2011, 02:38 PM
I start my undergrad studies this fall. Freshmen move in about a week before classes start (Tuesday, August 23) and then the next day we have mandatory day trips we have to sign up for. There are two hikes I'm interested in going, but I'm not sure which. The first is a moderately easy, flat hike, four hours of pretty scenery. The second requires you to have "moderate physical fitness" -- it's a 7 mile round trip and elevation gain of 1500 feet.
I'm not really sure which to do. I would NOT call myself "moderately physically fit". I mean, I'm not fat or anything, but I hate running/exercise. I can, however, hike. I love hiking. I've done day-long hikes before (mid-morning to late afternoon) over rocky and uphill terrain and I had no problem with them. I don't want to be bored by pretty scenery, but I also don't want to be too challenged. So what should I do? |

If you can do it, go for the tougher one. You'll feel better than all the people who wimped out and went for the easy hike. Great morale booster. Lol I'm kidding(= Whatever you feel more comfy with. i mean, you could get bored on the easy hike.. if I can do the harder option in anything, I go for it, because once I've accomplished it, and done my best, I really will feel better at the end of the day.
I believe in pink<3
I'm not so great with advice. Could I interest you in a sarcastic comment instead? |
