My new hobby; writing letters to serial killers!

I'm a psychology student, and am particularly fascinated by the criminal mind.*
I decided, what better way to understand the thoughts and perspectives of serial killers than to talk with them directly?*
So that's what I've begun doing.*
Has anyone ever done this, or know anybody who has?*

I'm curious to know what people's opinions would be in regards to content.*
For those of you who are interested in this sort of thing, what would you/ wouldn't you add? Thanks =]

I think that would be neat, I love that kind of stuff especially reading books on serial killers. I think that would be an awesome major as well!! Hope it goes well.

Yes, I started this recently (within the last 2 months), but have thus far received letters from Richard Ramirez and Paul Bernardo.
I just sent out my first 'batch' of letter two weeks ago, I'll be sure to post some of the responses I have received once I get access to an actual computer!
(I use my phone usually).

I'll try to find the facts and articles later or tomorrow, but I read a story once where I guy sent letters to a few famous people, including Opera and Charles Manson. He pretended to be an 11 year old girl with cancer. Opera's response? Nothing. Manson's? Three handcrafted boxes with hearts on them.

Funny enough, we recently read a letter that a serial killer wrote about how he wanted to donate his organs after he gets killed, and how they won't let him. I can't remember his name right now, but it was very interesting to see the views and opinions behind the eyes of a killer.

you've really received a reply from Paul Bernardo?!
I've been dying to contact him, although I've heard that he hardly ever replies to people he doesn't know personally... How was his attitude as I've heard around some sites that hes rude and manipulative? I'd Love it if you could give me the address so i can write him.

That sounds like so much fun. I'm kind of young, but I already know I want to be a forensic psychologist. I've always been interested in the way people's mind worked. Especially murderers. It fascinates me. Although I'm not really interested in the people who don't really plan it out very well and get caught quickly. I'm more interested in the ones who are cunning and plan it all out really well. It's always interesting to know what goes through their mind at the murder, especially at the time of the murder. It sounds like a very interesting project ^^
