Do you think I should quit chorus? - May 6th 2012, 09:13 PM

So, for my elective, I split my elective days between chorus and band. For most electives in my school you can't take two, but they made an exception for people wanting to be in both band and chorus. However, I have heard that next year, we will have to choose one.
So this is my last shot at chorus, because if we won't be able to take both next year, I'm definitely choosing band.
I love singing, but I, for an unknown reason, am so incredibly bored in my chorus class. I don't understand why this is, but I really don't like it. My school year ends in late June- should I stick it out until the end of the year or quit? I know it's my decision, but I'm really stuck.
Thanks guys!

If you hate the class and you have the option to drop it what reason is there to not do so?

It's fine to have one.
It's fine to be proud of it.
But please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around.
And PLEASE don't try and shove it down my throat.

I just feel like since it's getting close to the concert and it's almost the end of the year, and I won't be taking it next year maybe I should suck it up and go.

I would just stick it out until the end. Live out your chrous experience until it is completely over. Perform in the concert so that way you don't feel like all the effort and time put into the class was a waste of time. You won't be taking it next year and you have a month left, so why not?
