High Intensity Jobs (Part Time) - July 11th 2012, 07:31 PM

Hello everyone!

My summer internship job is ending, so I'm looking for a new job for this coming School year. I deploy for training with the Marines next July, and want to work until then after classes. I used to work in food service and retail and absolutely hated it! I want to find an "intense" or "confrontation filled" job like a Bouncer or a Loss Prevention, unfortunately Bars usually won't hire someone under 21 to enforce a 21 and over entry rule xD

Ideas? (I hate food service and retail!)

I don't know what additional qualifications you would need for this job, but how about becoming a process server (or whatever they're called)? You know, the people who walk up to someone, hand them a piece of paper, and say, "You've been served." THAT could be pretty confrontational. =P

Erhmaghads!

My father got a speeding ticket from one of those cameras, but to actually be required to pay he either has to "accept action" and pay, or be served for a hearing. In state law he has to be served within 90 days after his "pay by" date, he didn't go outside for 90 days.... did not pay fine.

Riiiiiight.....
Well you could always become a bartender, even if it is only at the olive garden you'd still have all those super "happy" (read: pissed and aggressive) drunk people (at least occasionally).

OR you could ask to do something at the fire apartment or in the emergency room even if it's only by volunteering.... You could try prisons and court houses too

work with adults who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviour - it's what I do and most shifts I get shouted at lots/slapped/hit/threatened. If I'm lucky, sometimes I even get poo thrown at me Every day is different and it's very rewarding despite the fact that if you're not careful, you can easily get beaten to a pulp!

I think I'd get fired after I beat one of them with a chair for throwing shit at me. I don't do well with disabled people

Huh, where I live you need to be 18 to bartend... You know that most towns/cities have some place you can go to and describe what your looking for and they'll tell you where to apply

See if there are any security companies near you. Most of them will hire as long as you are 18+. They'll train you too. My friend is 19 and he's been working at this big security firm for almost 2 years now.
