Exclamation Anybody any ideas...? - April 29th 2009, 07:04 PM

Hi, I'm not sure if this is in the right place so feel free to move it somewhere more appropriate. Anywho, our graduation service is on the 20th of May this year. We're are having an ecumenical service in our school and then tea and food and stuff with our teachers later.

My class has decided for out theme to be "Hakuna Matata" (like from the Lion King meaning no worries. So we have decided to paint a cub Simba and put baby pictures around this then draw another picture of Adult Simba, put pictures of us around that of us now, to symbolise how we have changed and grown since we have come to school I think it's pretty cool.

But my problem is that I have been put in charge of the readings and reflection afterwards. Usually we take 1 reading from the Old Testament of the Bible then another reading from the New Testament. Has anyone got any ideas on verses of the bible to use? It has to relate to no worries, growing up or something along those lines which we can link in with our symbol.

Also has anyone got any ideas for a nice reflection at the end? We have spent the last 6 years of school together and have been through alot. It will probably be a long time before we all meet up again because after our exams we're all moving away to different parts of the country for college.
Thanks in Advance
Jen

ps. if you need anymore details on the service just ask

Mrs Doyle: What would you say to a cup father?
[offers him a cup of tea]
Father Jack Hackett: FECK OFF, CUP!
*
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These,[points to some plastic cows on the table], are very small; those
[points at some cows out the window], are far away...
Gotta Luv Father Ted
