Hey there,

I think it's important for everyone to have an excellent background in English, no matter what their primary studies are. If you are able to write and read you are capable of achieving many other things in other subjects. I myself am pursuing science, and my Anatomy teacher says that it's important for us to all have a background in writing and that it will help us study and understand the material better. Sometimes she makes us write out the systems in essay form, and it really does help me.

In addition, it's something that you love to do. If you love it you should do it no matter what anyone else says. It's your life.

I hope this helps a bit. Good luck!

Hey there,

Lauren is absolutely right, learning and applying English is a life-skill and it's very important for us to do. You could explain to your science teachers that you want to learn and excel in English as much as you want to do in science. You can also tell them that you are passionate about English as science and that it is a life skill. Plus, you technically learn science in English, right? Reading, writing, and communicating are essential elements of the English language which are needed to do almost anything.

But yeah, do what you're passionate about. Ultimately, it's your life, so you have the right to study what interests you. I hope this helps and good luck!

Well, I would say that it is a stress relief and it'll help you further your career skills if English is not your primary language.
