Pressuring advisors - December 29th 2015, 12:47 AM

So my schooling is confusing. I am a Jr. in highschool (homeschooled) and also I take college classes at a local community college. I just finished my first semester and did very good suprisingly. However. My advisors said I need to get a plan together this week as to what I want to do with my life ha Like I have noooo idea. I hate everything! I love animals with all my heart so I was like maybe a vet but I just can't do a lot of the things a vet does. And I was like well maybe I could be in a high business position like a CEO or something. But everyone tells me no to that, like it's not realistic. And I don't now if I would like it. So I know you all don't know me very well but any ideas?! Like I have to complete this stupid chart in 3 days. Like I know I don't need to know exactly but I have to have some type of idea.
Also, I don't do anything other then school like no activities. School is my life because my friends suck and so I'm just focusing on school so I can graduate and leave this hell whole of a town. Ha Soo, I'm stressed. Please help meeeeeeee

Maybe they're just trying to get you to start seriously thinking about it, very few people know what they want to do for the rest of their lives at 15, and even if they do, things happen and they change their minds or they can't do what they planned. Start with what you love and go from there. Here's a pretty long list of some animal related ideas: http://www.insidejobs.com/blog/top-j...-animal-lovers

I wouldn't worry too much about this. As Katie said, most people don't know what they want to do with the rest of their lives at fifteen. Yeah, It's helpful to have a general idea of what you want to do. For example if you are interested in medicine and public health, it might be a good idea to take some high level science courses. However, if you're not sure still, that's completely ok too! So, I see why they would want you to pick an academic track.

If I were you, I would just give it my best guess and move on. Try your best in all of your classes, pursue your interests, and explore new things. Right now is a time for you to be exposed to many different possible career paths.

It's ok if you change your mind later on. It's ok if you get to college and you still don't know exactly what you want to do. And it's also ok if you think you know what you want to do and then completely change majors. Try your best and follow your heart and you'll be fine.

You don't always need a plan.
Sometimes you just need to breathe,
trust, let go, and
see what happens.
