It It transferred over a little weird but in my official draft it is all lined up. I have another work experience but it won't fit in this resume, that experience is about 4 years old now. I'm attempting to get a second job on top of the CNA job that will allow me to work on weeks I don't work as a CNA. I'm going to try at my previous employer before the CNA (not really Big Lots). Please let me know if anything would be better changed.

Hey there,

I think your resume is ok. Don't worry about the experience you couldn't put on there- if it's not relevant and is a few years old, it's not worth putting in the resume.

I'm just wondering....would it be possible to perhaps be a little less vague in some areas e.g. the 'meet goals and expectations'...what kind of goals did you meet? Remember that most resumes are between 1-2 pages so while you don't want to go overboard with detail, you don't want to be too vague either.

This looks good! I agree just try to be a bit more specific in skills area, but other than that it looks really great, best of luck with the application!

I noticed a lot of your stuff is "I did this, I did that" and while it's great to be able to say what your duties were in a job, I think it is equally important to say what skills you gained from it.
Also, put the company and the position on different lines. I'll show you what I mean with one of yours...

Certified Nurse Aid (bold) August 2016 – Present (not-bold + right justify the date)
Long term care facility, City, State/Province
o Assist residents with activities of daily living
o Transfer residents using appropriate body mechanics (what do you even mean by this? I can think of many things that could be "appropriate body mechanics" just by considering whether it is you're body of theirs)
o Accurately document resident activities and report them appropriately
o Work efficiently and effectively with nurses on staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional care

Also university / school should be listed similar to jobs

Honours BA in sociology 2014 - Graduated
University name, City, Province

High school diploma 2009 - Graduated
High school, City, Province

I would also suggest putting your education higher up - I do my resume as Name/contact info, statement, skills, education, work experience, volunteer experience, professional development, additional courses (sometimes I move additional courses to right under my education if one of the courses is relevant to a job), then certifications (again, I brin this up to the top under education if I am applying to a job requiring a certification I have). I would suggest leaving education as first while you are early in your career and only moving it down once you're more experienced.

Feel free to PM me if you ever need to chat or have questions
