Question Anatomy and physiology assignment - January 15th 2017, 07:45 PM

Hi, I am on a level 3 animal management course at college and I have been given an Anatomy and Physiology assignment on control mechanisms, which I am about halfway through. Normally we have all the information needed for our assignments given to us in class, but everyone on my course is currently on work experience for the next two weeks, so we miss lectures and I can't get help from my tutor either because we're not back in college until the day it is due (Jan 30th). I would really appreciate some help here. Here are the parts I haven't done yet...
  • "A table comparing hormonal and neural control mechanisms - What types of messengers do they use? How do they work? What type of effect do they have on the body?" (Only the bolded questions. I know how hormonal control mechanisms work but I'm not sure about neural mechanisms)

  • "A description of the four methods of heat exchange and how they are used by animals." (I know the four methods are radiation, evaporation, convection and conduction, but I can't find any websites which explain how they are used)

  • "An explanation of behavioural and physiological adaptations that endotherms and ectotherms use to maintain a constant body temperature. You must include at least 10 for each." (I've only found one for endotherms so far)

If you have read everything up to here, thank you, I really appreciate that since I know it's a lot to read.

If anybody has any knowledge on this subject and/or decent website sources, please let me know. I'm under a lot of stress right now so any help is appreciated.

For the 3rd question, I think this page from khan academy might be of a little help. In general I think khan academy is the best online resource for homework assignments and I've been using it for years.

Hopefully this might be of some help!

Hello there,

I found THIS website for the second question. I'm not sure if it's exactly what your looking for but it explain each thing.

That is the only one I actually understand enough to look up.

I hoped this helped even just a little bit.

Your Friend,
Frankie

That's really helpful, thank you so much, both of you! I was at my wits end trying to find relevant websites.
