Technical Writing: Memorandum Memos - February 1st 2017, 08:30 PM

Hey everyone long time no see.

Things have been really hectic for me lately, but I have a question that I'm having trouble finding an answer for -- and I figured I'd drop by to ask it.

I am currently taking a technical writing course and we are writing a memorandum memo based on an email we sent to a prospective employer. I got someone from a very large tech company whom already responded.

The content of the email contains a series of questions written by me directed at the employer. My memo is supposed to consist of my findings in the email based on the questions I asked. I know there is such thing as a Q+A Memorandum, but considering these aren't my answers, how should I structure it?

That is, should I provide a heading for each question, or include all the questions/answers under one heading with bullets, etc.? Any help would be freaking awesome. Note: This is essentially all I have from my text book (literally 2 pages of information and that's it) (textbook) <--- link

Thanks!

Hey Michael!

I don't suppose you have any examples of memorandums that you could copy the layout?

I've not written a technical memorandum before, but from what I tried to look up online, good headings are necessary. I, personally, wouldn't use the questions as headings, and instead would pick the subject of the question as a heading. Alternatively, if it's not too much, I guess you could write it under one paragraph and do bullet points. I'm also wondering whether you could use the question and answer style memorandum or whether you can't because it's not your answers?

Sorry this isn't much help. Hope others can help you out though!

Hey thanks for your response. I meant to use the subject as the headings. The Q&A format isn't allowed since they're not my answers =/
