I'm currently doing a genetics degree but at school I never got my Higher English. Will this hinder job prospects, do employers look for this??

Would it be worthwhile doing Higher English anyway??

anyone? .

I think it would, english is a pretty basic subject that some employers will look for. Even if they don't, it might come in handy later, and it certainly won't do you any harm to try for it.

I would say that English is an important job and employers will look for it. But it does also depend on what kind of job you are going to go into after uni. Some jobs may not be that bothered. But then again it is a usual subject to have

It's not a huge deal, but it is good to be well-rounded so you can write better papers and essays (for a job in genetics). Its hard to make a career out of an english degree but writing skills go a long way.
