In most states, you have to be at least 15 to be eligible for work and even then most places won't hire until 16. It generally depends on where you want to work, so wherever you're interested, give them a call.

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania up until May this year.

The legal age to work in Pennsylvania is 16 and you'll need to get them at that age. It's rather simple - you just get it from your school and take it to a doctors for a physical where you really just sit there and the doctor asks you the questions on the paper and checks them off. Like do you have seizures, can you lift X amount of weight, etc.

I forget if you need your parents signature, but you have to be 16-17 due to still being a minor. But 16 is the minimal age in PA to have it.
