Government - September 15th 2009, 11:53 PM

Ok so I need to write a thesis on Obama's inaugural speech from three quotes. I need to make the thesis on how he will change my life for the better or worse in the next four years. I was wondering if I could see what you guys and girls would write and I will try to incorporate them into my thesis. Thanks.
Here are the quotes:
  • The state of our economy calls for action: bold and swift. And we will act not only to create new jobs but to lay a new foundation for growth.
  • And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of the day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.
  • To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history, but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

Thanks and this needs to be from like how these quotes would benefit your life.

Well if Obama actually does the things that he promised, I think the first part of the speech would mean the most to me, at least. To me it says that jobs will not only be created and made possible for the people currently in the working world, but for people who will one day be in control of the world. When all of us have to fend for ourselves, we need jobs to be successful and to have a decent economy. What I think Obama is saying in that first part of his speech is that he's going to create a better economy now, and for years to come, so that his children and their children will never have to suffer through a recession such as the one we are facing now.

I think the second part also affects us all because Obama is assuring us that the government will do their best to fairly distribute money to Americans. No one wants a government full of crooks, and if Obama can make sure that our government does the best job possible for us, we'll be more confident that we can rely on the people who have power in our country.

And the last one is a bit more tricky, so I probably won't be of much help there =P Good luck with your paper :]
