My first "B" ever - October 29th 2009, 08:02 PM

I got my first B today. It was so horrible, as soon as i turned my test in it popped into my head, idiot you forgot to use the actual numbers in pascals triangle. I feel so depressed and angry that i made a B. ( I asked my teacher right after i turned it in but she refused to let me change it).

If I got a 'B' I'd be so happy

Don't be too hard on yourself, it could be a lot worse!

B are above average, plus this is the FIRST one you've ever gotten. Don't worry about it.

Getting a B is not the end of the world. You'll get over it.

I don't think it will hurt your average too much. People are going to be saying it isn't bad to get a B but you have different standards than some other people. You are just angry right now, since it was only one test it won't ruin your grade and I am sure you will be able to make up the lost ground.

cheers

Ask your teacher how much this will effect your grade. Be sure to ace the next test and I'm SURE you'll be fine!

oh come on.. it's hardly a disaster is it?. teachers mark small things like that harshly so that you won't make the same mistake again.

Ummm I think you're totally blowing the whole thing out of proportion, not to be rude or anything but it's a B as in it's no big deal, it could have been worse so don't beat yourself up to it.

There is only one person who could ever
make you happy, and that person is you.

You should be happy with a B. Not many people can get B's at all. Appreciate your intelligence.

Are you saying you define yourself as the grades you get? Live a life of substance, grades don't mean anything in the real world.

I can see why you're coming from if you have always got A's and such but for some I'm struggling to try and scrape C's so you should be lucky.

you sound like me mate
i used to get A* IN EVERYTHING and one day i didnt but whats good about it is that you learn from that mistake and take it and improve yourself and if you keep doing that youll never have to worry about getting a bad mark

and mate a B ISNT THAT BAD but i know how you feel, but its just a small slip up youll get over it at least ou know what you did wrong

Relax don't worry a B isn't bad!
I got an F on a test today and I'm not even joking HA-HA
just relax take things one at a time. I used to be like that I'd panic if I got the smallest thing wrong I still get somethings wrong but we all move on just don't push yourself to hard.

Re: My first "B" ever - November 5th 2009, 07:55 PM

A "B" is good! Even if you know you can do better, it's not the end of the world. Learn from the mistakes you made this time and you'll do better next time.
I know how you feel, though. I have always had "A"s in psychology and got a "C" the other week. It was a bit of a disappointment but it prompted me to revise. I know if I got "A"s in everything I'd stop revising, which isn't a good idea.
Just remember that whatever grades you're getting, grades say nothing about your personality, and that's what really matters in a person. Not their intelligence but their heart and soul.

A "B" is GREAT! if you think thats bad.. how about being predicted 5A's and due to circumstances outwith your control, passing one exam with a "B".

Worse things can happen. Luckily I could re-sit and get my grades up.

OMG I would be overjoyed if I got a B. I am in the E-C zone at the moment. It sucks getting a bad grade but a B is an amazing grade!
