SAT - November 27th 2009, 05:40 PM

So next week I'm taking the SAT. Is there anything I should be studying for it?

If you took higher math like trig or precalc before the SAT (like I did), make sure you revisit algebra II and previous maths. I was kind of screwed up the first time because I thought I had to know trig and other higher maths and then I took the test and it was all easy, but obscure stuff that I did too long ago. Know how to write the SAT essay.

Good luck!

What I find helpful are the vocab cards, but that's because I learn really well from flashcards. You can go to a bookstore and most have a SAT practice books. My favorite is Kaplan followed by CollegeBoard. Kaplan has a Vocab book but I like flashcards better. Barron's has really good flashcards, but I wish they had some of the words Kaplan uses.
Good luck!

Practice writing a timed essay. Seriously! Thinking of a good response and putting it into essay format within 15-20 minutes ain't easy; tripped me up quite a bit.
