Job interview - February 22nd 2010, 07:17 PM

Hey,

So I applied for a job a while back, my older friend Jessica put it in for me and recommended me. I'm 16, she's well 19, 20. Anyway, I was in gym today when my phone rang, quickly ignored the call and figured it was someone in my class but it was actually that spot.

It's a job, at a call-center that pays $11/Hr for 40 hours a week. I won't have any free-time, per-say. But anyway, any thoughts on this?

I'm pretty excited. I got the interview tomorrow, and I'm kind of nervous on what to say, or wear.

I have an up-coming vacation, March 10th-23rd, how do I tell the guy doin the interview about this? I'm scared that might mess it up, but I need the job, and I want to be truthful and tell him!

Call-center type jobs have never been something that's appealed to me, but definitely isn't a bad job. I'm more of a face-to-face interaction kind of person, which is part of the reason I work in a retail store. Not sure how the exchange rate goes from Canadian to US dollars, but in the US I know that would be a pretty good wage for an entry level job.

As far as the vacation, I'd be up front and honest about it. Waiting to tell them would cause more problems than telling them during the interview.

Interview went good, just was straight forward and told them too.

However, an employee there in the room next to me while I was waiting to be interviewed was talking shit... "What's this kids name?" "HAHAHA He actually thinks they're gonna hire someone that looks like him"

I smirked at him, gave him the finger and sat back down haha. The interviewer gave me a high-five and said he hated him...

Wait until you get the job, then tell him. in England, they have to let you have the time off if you've booked it before you got the job xD (To an extent)
