Does anyone know how to do APA in-text citations? Cuz I honestly have no idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

It's what my psych prof gave our class to use.

It depends on what you want to cite. Maybe if you give more information I can help.

It depends on what it is you're citing, if it's the first time citing it (i.e. for 3 or more authors, first time list all, every other time just the first then et al.). Can you be specific in what it is you need to cite, otherwise all we can do is provide you with websites.

It goes like this.
Last name, Initial of first name. (Year). Title. Name of the Journal. (Volume Copy or number), pages.
Example:
Mellers, B.(2000). Choice and the relative pleasure of consequences. Psychological Bulletin, (122), 184-194.

Close. Except it should be Name of Journal, Volume Number(Issue Number), pages. So you have the name of the journal and the volume number in italics and then the issue number in brackets not italicised.

And for in-text, it's (Surname, Year, p. #). For two authors, it's (Surname & Surname, Year, p. #). And for three to five authors, it's (Surname1, Surname2, & Surname3, Year, p. #) and then (Surname1 et. al. Year, p. #) for subsequent citations.

I use APA all the time, so feel free to PM me if you need more help or need someone to check your referencing.
