Induction day - July 13th 2010, 11:57 AM

Tomorrow is the inductiond ay for sixth form. Its my school, the same one ive been at for for years, but theres hardly anyone staying on and i think theres only one friend i know, and myabe my ex which i just hope not.

Anyhow, im terrified. Im useless with new people. I sturggling badly with my anxiety and panic attacks and im so scard. How do i handle the situation? Like, talking to new people, i dont know what to say. What if it gets awkward?

+ Theres a buffet in the hall for lunch, and i have a few problems with eating and im freaking out because im not going to eat, so im going to be sat there not eating while everyone else is.

And ive got an exam at nine thirty, which means i might have to walk int class on my own infront of loads of people, which i dont like. I got my mym to ring the head of sixth form and shes told mum to go see her at nine before my exam, but she hasnt said what she'll do, so im still really scared. Ive told mum im walking out if i have to walk in on my own.

Im freaking ouut

Re: Induction day - July 13th 2010, 12:00 PM

for the things getting awkward, if they do. Just remember that its not only you feeling awkward and the other person feels the same way. Don't panic!
As its an induction day, you have plenty of things to talk about, 'what school did you come from, what courses are you taking, how many of your friends are here?' etc.

With the walking into the room, just walk in. smile at the teacher, and find a seat.
And the eating, tell people you've already eaten or you feel a bit ill.

You'll be fine. good luck
