ACT. - January 24th 2011, 12:12 AM

Just a question.

Did you take the ACT test yet and what was your score? Or if you didn't take it yet, what do you plan on getting?

Yup, 29. I might have done better, but my narcolepsy was effecting me and I didn't have my medicine so I kindasorta fell asleep a bit x)

But in the end, the most important thing to accept is that no matter how alone you feel, how painful it may be, with the help of those around you, you'll get through this too.

28. And I'm actually being truthful on the internet.

Re: ACT. - January 27th 2011, 05:03 PM

26 the first time. 28 the second time. I wish I had taken it a third time because both times I had a low score of 20 in one subject. The first time was math and that jumped to a 27 the second time. The other one was science and I had a 28 the first time and that dropped to a 20 the second time. The issue with science was I had no clue when it came to physics and chem so I had to spend a lot of time reading the stuff that was included with each question whereas the first time around it was primarily biology, meteorology, and astronomy. I love biology but I hate chem. I also kind of forgot that I had the ACT the next day so I worked and stayed on the computer till 3 am.

I'm not yet a senior, but I have taken the practice ACT for freshmen. Our scores are based on 20's and you can compare it to the real thing by adding 10. I got 21, or 92% overall, and if it was real, I would have received 31. I think the highest is 35 or 36?

Yes, the highest score is a 36. A 31 is very good.

I think the national average is somewhere around 19 or so?

Thank you.

27 even though I barely had a B average in high school, no ACT prep besides some little book with questions.

Make sure you go through as many practice tests as possible and get above 30 on the actual test.

Even though I've never taken the ACT, I know that it is a material-based test. Basically, as long as you've mastered the material, you should get a good score.

Hint: DON'T be fooled by the Science section!! It is not so much a science test as a test of your reading and analytical abilities. Basically, the key thing to remember is that you should pay attention to details and look for trends, especially in the graphs or other representations of data.
